Meet Our Caring Staff

Kristi / Hospital Administrator

Born and raised in San Diego, Kristi has always had a passion for animals. She followed in her mother’s footsteps in the animal care field at the young age of 16. Having worked at aKristi, Manager at San Diego Pet Hospital in Lemon Grove number of animal care facilities in San Diego, she says that San Diego Pet Hospital is one of the best. Kristi has four dogs — two English Bulldogs named Hippo and Knucklehead, an English bulldog/Standard Poodle mix named Grover, and her senior Pit Bull, Pebbles. She also has a hermit crab, a beta fish, and five horses that she enjoys spending time with on the weekends. Kristi has developed a special interest in dermatology, having an English Bulldog with severe allergies, and she is always working to sharpen her technician skills and knowledge. Kristi has a heart of gold for all animals and she strives to help all of our clients and patients feel as comfortable as possible. Kristi recently welcomed her first child, Alexa and loves being a mommy!!

Morgan / Client Services Representative

Morgan has been in customer service for 15 years and decided to make the transition to the veterinary field four years ago.  In her spare time she enjoys trying new things, traveling, and cooking.  Morgan has two cMorgan, San Diego Pet Hospital Client Services Repats at home, Sparky a 9 year old DSH and Bella a 7 year old tabby.  The most important part of Morgan’s day is being able to help clients and their pets.  Her job is very rewarding and she always leaves San Diego Pet Hospital with a smile on her face.

Keelie / Client Services Representative

Keelie has been in the veterinary field since May 2014. Born in Northern California, she is a self-described “navy Keeliebrat” who grew up on the East and West coasts. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and will be pursuing her Master’s degree in couple’s therapy. Keelie lives happily with her husband of 15 years, Jeff, their 16 year old son, Riley, 2 dogs: an Aussie mix named Ferris and a Boxer named Manny, as well as 4 cats:  Keelie’s favorite Mr. Clyde; sisters Biscuits and Gravy; and their newest feral kitten Sailor J. Keelie has always loved any and all animals. She loves her work in the field because she finds it very fulfilling to create the best environment possible and offer the best care to all of our clients and their furry family members.

 

Nan / Registered Veterinary Technician

Nan joins the SDPH team as our Registered Veterinary Technician with 26 years of experience caring for animals. nanShe is still excited for the challenges and satisfaction a veterinary hospital brings every day.  She shares her home with her husband Shawn, two donkeys name Clementine and Calamity, and goldfish Eeny, Meeny, and Miney.  She also has two wonderful sons, a beautiful daughter-in-law, and two adorable grandchildren.  Nan spends her spare time helping care for her mom, mountain biking, walking, gardening, and supporting wild hummingbirds.

Ashleigh-Mae / Registered Veterinary Technician

Ashleigh-Mae was born and raised right here in San Diego.  She graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 2015 in veterinarian technician studies and passed herAshleigh-Mae, San Diego Pet Hospital Veterinary Assistant, Lemon Grove RVT licensing exam this summer. She is diligent in her studies, constantly striving to grow mentally in the field of veterinary medicine both for the clients and animals.  Ashleigh-Mae loves animals big and small, furry and cold blooded, but cats hold a special place in her heart. In her spare time she rescues feral kittens and fosters them until placing them in permanent homes. She has a strong interest in nephrology, having rescued a cat that has kidney disease. When she isn’t at work, she enjoys reading, going to the gym, and spending time with her little brother. Ashleigh-Mae shares her home with her cats Mister, Cornelius, and Winston Olifurr, her dog Sanford, and a bearded dragon named Mordecai.

 

Francine / Veterinary Technician

Francine was born and raised right here in San Diego, and has the biggest heart of anyone you will ever meet. Prior to attending college to gain professional veterinaryFrancine, San Diego Pet Hospital Veterinary Technician, Lemon Grove skills she worked with special education students throughout the San Diego school system. In addition to her loving attention to the health and well-being of your animal companions, Francine also devotes her home life to animals in need by fostering displaced pets until they can be placed back with their families, or until a new loving home is found for them. Francine is an inspiration to all of us here at San Diego Pet Hospital because she truly loves each and every pet she meets. She shares her home with two bearded dragons and her Australian Shepherd mix named Pickles.

Monica / Veterinary Technician

Monica comes to us from chilly Chicago, and moved here in 2007. She completed her marine science degree from the University of San Diego and began working at Sea World. Monica, San Diego Pet Hospital Veterinary TechnicianMonica says that she fell in love with the world of veterinary medicine and decided to join our team here at San Diego Pet Hospital. Her goal is to earn her Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license. Monica loves all animals and feels a special connection with each pet that walks into our hospital. Oh and, don’t be fooled by her small stature, big dogs are her favorite and she is always happy to join in with enthusiasm when one arrives for care. Monica says that “It is awesome joining the San Diego Pet Hospital team. How great it is to wake up and feel excited about going to work everyday!”

Shylynn / Veterinary Assistant

Shylynn grew up in Tulare, CA on a pig breeding farm and was an avid member of Future Farmers of America. Right Shylynnout of high school she decided to join the armed forces and dedicated 5 years of her life to the United States Navy.  She always had an appreciation for animals, so after her service she decided to get back into the animal field, and in 2016 she enrolled in Pima’s Veterinary Assistant program.  After completing her externship with San Diego Pet Hospital, she was hired full-time. She shares her home with her 3 year old son Beau and a little Chihuahua named Duke.  Shylynn hopes to further her career by going to Veterinary Technician school and eventually would like to work with horses, her absolute favorite!
