In light of recent guidance from state officials regarding COVID-19, we want to reassure you that San Diego Pet Hospital is here to serve you and your pets. Our hospital remains open regular business hours to continue serving the community. To support the health and safety of clients and our team members, we have implemented strict intake procedures:
Prior to your scheduled appointment we will send you an intake form to fill out and email back to us. This will expedite the check-in process and help minimize your wait time.
When you arrive please park in a space with a number. Call our office at 619-462-6600 and let us know you have arrived for your appointment and what space you parked in. A technician will go over your intake form upon arrival and go over a few Covid-19 screening questions so we can safely collect your pet. If our schedule allows, we may call you prior to your appointment to go over your pet’s history and reason for your visit.
Please make sure you provide us with the cell phone number of the person that will transport the pet so we may call you for authorizations. Estimates and other documents, including receipt will be sent via email so please provide us an email prior to appointment.
SIGNS/SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19:
If you are showing symptoms of COVID-19, please call to reschedule or identify a healthy surrogate to bring your pet to our practice in your place. We will contact you for authorizations and payment by phone.
NO LOBBY WAITING AREA:
At this time our lobby is closed to the public and all prescription pick-ups and appointments are done via curbside service. We ask that all clients follow the County of San Diego’s Public Health order to wear a face covering anywhere in public when coming within in 6 feet of another person. When handing your pet over to a staff member please make sure only one person gets out of the car to minimize human-to-human contact. Please make sure cats are in a secure carrier and dogs are on a well-fitted collar or harness. If you have any concerns, please alert us prior to your appointment.
ONE CLIENT PER HOUSEHOLD:
We ask that only one person accompany the pet(s) with an appointment to reduce human-to-human contact.
In order to keep staff and clients safe, San Diego Pet Hospital is practicing social distancing by keeping clients outside in their car while patients are being treated in the hospital. All payments and authorizations will be collected by phone. If you have a fecal drop off or prescription pick up, please call ahead and we will direct you to our pickup window. Please be patient with us as we navigate through these changes while trying our very best to serve you.
